Mrs. Trudo Meurice Kinard Robbins' Obituary
Trudo Meurice Kinard Robbins Trudy was the last surviving child of Levi and Lillie Bishop Kinard.
She was born June 25th, 1916 in Earhardt, SC and died March 22, 2012 in the Woodlands, TX. After graduation from Lodge High School, she fulfilled her lifelong dream and completed her education in Nursing. Trudy served her country as an Army First Lieutenant and a member of the Nurse Corps during World War II where she was stationed in England during the D Day invasions. It was during this time that she met and married the love of her life Marshall Robbins in Reims, France, the day before the bomb dropped at Hiroshima. She was an active member of the Good Shepard Episcopal Altar Guild, The Daughters of the King, American Legion and The Eastern Star Chapter #1065 in Pearland, TX. Trudy loved to interact with people. She was an avid Astros and Rockets fan, loved to garden, knit and read scripture. Trudy's family, son Marshall (Skip) and daughter-in-law Judy; son, Reed and daughter-in-law Debbie; grandchildren, Adam, Lynsey, Taylor, Jennifer and Ferrin and two great grandchildren, Colton and Cameron will forever miss her precious smile and gentle spirit. An Honor Guard Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 30 at 2pm at the Veterans Cemetery in Houston.
