Traci T Cormier's Obituary
Traci Tselane Hoffman Cormier was born on August 11, 1973 in Dallas, Texas to her parents, William Douglas Hoffman and Mary Frances Ford Hoffman who preceded her in death. She attended public school in Dallas and Houston. Traci was an excellent writer and a dedicated scholar who was always in pursuit of higher learning. She earned an associate's degree in criminology from North Lake College in Dallas and she was working on a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas, Dallas at the time of her demise. She was a member of Westbury United Methodist Church and Cedar Crest CME Church where she was baptized as an infant.
Traci was an intriguing, amazing study in paradoxes: She was fun-loving, yet serious. She was mercurial, yet predictable. She was soft spoken, yet noticeably audible. She was kind and caring, yet she posssessed the acid verbal ability to set a person straight in a few "choice" words.
Everyone who met Traci became a part of her warm, witty circle and were immediately given a nickname. She was remarkably unforgettable and she leaves a lasting void in the lives of her loving, dedicated husband, Edward Cormier; her children, Ahnia, Alycia, Ashli, and Arrious McAffee, Stephanie Cormier, and her heart-child, Cheniah Robertson. Others who knew, loved, and supported Traci throughout her life are her aunt and godmother, Verra Ford Brown, her uncle, Ezell Brown; her "couslings," Myclette Brown-Lavalais, Andria Brown, Jayson Brown; her close cousins Angela Caldwell and Dorothy Rivers; her faithful-to-the-end friends, LaWanda Dews, Lorinda Roy, and Patrice and Bishop Smith, as well as many other relatives and friends. Everyone who was blessed to know Traci mourn her passing, but rejoice in the knowledge that she is at perfect peace in a better place.
