In Loving Memory of Wah Seng Tien
Born January 24, 1938, in Vietnam – Deceased July 20, 2025
With profound sadness and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Wah Seng Tien, who left this world peacefully on July 20, 2025, at the age of 87. Although our hearts are heavy, we celebrate a life rich in kindness, purpose, and generosity.
Wah Seng Tien, an ethnic Chinese, was born in Vietnam. He married and had his three children there before bravely making the journey to the United States in search of freedom and opportunity for his family. He lived a life of compassion, integrity, and honor that will continue to live on through the people he touched.
Wah Seng Tien truly believed in "Paying it Forward." Whether it was his instinctive nature to lend a hand or to open his heart and home to those in need, it was evident that he loved helping people. His commitment to uplifting others was only surpassed by his knowledge in Chinese Herbal Medicine and the lives he saved, enriched, and touched.
Wah Seng Tien found joy in the simple things. He loved people. Whether it was to share a story, a drink, or a meal, his home and heart were always open. All one needed to do was enter and become his friend and part of his extended family. He was a perfectionist! If you ever see any of his Chinese Calligraphy, you would understand. The brush pen can only be held this way, while holding your breath, until the character is completed. He would recite ancient Chinese poetry, as if it were no big deal at all. He will be deeply missed.
Wah Seng Tien is survived by his beloved wife, three children, and five grandchildren, who will honor his legacy by continuing to embody his kindness, compassion, and honor. He was preceded in death by his father (Ming Duc Tien), mother (Mei Phung), and brother (Sang Bac Tien), whom he now joins in eternal peace.
Family and friends are invited to honor Wah Seng Tien’s life during visitations as follows.
· Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
· Friday, August 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A celebration of life will be held as follows.
· Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 8:00 AM, followed by burial interment.
All visitations and services will be held at the South Park Funeral Home, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, Texas 77581.
Wah Seng Tien lived a life that mattered due to his honor, integrity, and profound care for others. His passing has left a void that cannot be filled. He will be missed more than words can say and remembered with love always.
