Mr. Thomas Mathew's Obituary
Mr. Thomas Mathew was born on January 22, 1943 to Mr. Thuduparambil George Thomas and Mrs. Mary Thomas, in the town of Thrissur, Kerala, India.
He completed his high school education from the Chaldean Syrian High School in Thrissur. He graduated from the St. Thomas College in Thrissur with a Bachelor's in Commerce.
In his younger days, he was an exceptional soccer player who was a star player in his team. He was also an excellent track and field athlete. His two favorite events were the pole vault and the 400m dash for which he won gold medals every time.
After his graduation, he joined the famous Aspinwall Company, Fort Cochin where he worked as an accountant for nearly 15 years.
He was a member of the CSI All Saints Church Choir, Mission Quarters, Thrissur, where he developed his passion for singing.
He married Remani George daughter of Mr. George Jacob and Mrs. Grace George from the Pulimootil house, Kottayam, Kerala, India. He had two sons Kiran and Dilip whom he loved dearly.
He migrated with his family to Houston, Texas in the fall of 2000 and settled in Sugar Land where he lived until God called him to eternity.
He was an active member of the St Thomas CSI Church of Greater Houston where he served as a loyal member.
He was very loving to his family and friends and always put their needs above his own. He was a very loving husband, caring Father, affectionate brother and an awesome grandpa. He was very loyal to his friends and would go of his way to help them when in need. He was very fond of his two daughters in law Christine and Mibil who joined the Mathew family when his sons got married.
He was a man of strong faith and always trusted in God for everything in his life. He would always say "Don’t worry, God will find a way" anytime he was faced with adversity.
He was very passionate about singing and loved to sing with his God-given unique voice. He enjoyed singing classical Christian hymns which he sang with a lot of passion.
He was always full of life and joyful in whatever he did. He enjoyed the simple things in life and was happy in any situation. He was genuinely interested in getting to know people and would talk to everyone with a lot of enthusiasm.
He is survived by his wife Remani, brothers Thomas, Richard, Joshua and Mervin, sister Sudha, sons Kiran and Dilip, daughters-in law Christine and Mibil and grand-daughters Karina and Karisma.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
