Thomas Crocker Lewis' Obituary
Thomas Crocker Lewis, 83, of Springtown, Texas, was called home by our Lord on May 9, 2022.
Thomas was born in Bentonia, Mississippi on March 5, 1939. He graduated from Austin High School in 1958. He served from 1960 in the 8th Marine Corp. Reserve working his way from Private First Class to Corporal when he was honorably discharged in 1965.
Thomas was married to Betty Byrum Lewis on August 1, 1975. They were married 40 years upon his passing.
Thomas started a long career with Haliburton in 1964 working his way up from Bulk Driver to District Manager for Service Tools, Test Tools, and TCP for Offshore. He completed 35 years with retirement in 1999 being known a "Top Cat" to many life- long friends and colleagues. He loved fishing out on Lake Livingston, hunting with his grandsons, and building and tinkering with many projects.
Thomas is survived by his wife Betty Lewis, son Thomas Nelson Lewis and his wife Reene Lewis, daughter Tommie Lea Ashlock and her husband Dave Ashlock, grandchildren Thomas Blake Lewis, Laura Grace Ashlock and her fiancé Zackary McPherson, Jacob Samuel Lewis, an Stephen Connor Ashlock, great granddaughter Emily Faye McPherson, sister Mary Miskch and her husband Norman Miskch, along with many nieces and nephews and family friends.
Thomas is proceeded in death by son Stephen Lewis (1964), brother Sammie Woods Lewis (2013), and parents Sammie T. Lewis (1971) and Ester E. Lewis (2005).
