Thomas M Cherian's Obituary
Thomas M Cherian received the heavenly call on December 27th, 2023. Thomas M. Cherian was born to M.T Cherian and Aleyamma Cherian on May 28, 1948 in Mullenkuzhiyil House, Kozhencherry, India as their second child. Thomas M. Cherian has 2 sisters, Mariamma Mathew & Thankamma Abraham and 1 brother, Samuel Cherian. By the grace of God, he was born into a God fearing family. He was very enthusiastic in church activities at an early age and followed the doctrines of the Word of God. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at a young age.
He worked in several parts of India and got married to the late Marykutty Thomas in February 1977. He then moved to the United States through the help of his sister Thankamma and lived in Houston for the next 43 years. During this time he remarried to Thresiamma Thomas in October 1992 and continued working in Houston.
He was blessed with 2 daughters, Shiney Abraham and Ann Thomas, along with 2 son-in-laws, George Abraham and Melwyn Oommen. Thomas was also blessed with two granddaughters, Kayla and Leah Abraham.
Thomas was kind and considerate to everyone he encountered. He was passionate in his prayers not only at home but everywhere he went. His hobbies included praying, singing, reading the Word of God, and being committed to his work. He started working at a young age and continued working until the age of 72. He was very generous in helping family, extended family, and friends. He enjoyed family gatherings and connecting with his family. His last wish was to go back home, to India, and see his loved ones again. By God's grace and mercy, Papa came into this world as a gift of God and left this world praying and being in the presence of God. He was a man of God and tried to serve the Lord the best he could. We have a great hope that we will see him again when we too will reach the kingdom of God.
