Thomas Gerald Barrow Sr.'s Obituary
Thomas Gerald Barrow, Sr. passed away in Houston, Texas April 3, 2025, after a brief illness.
Mr. Barrow is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elizabeth, along with his children, Jennifer and Tom (Elizabeth). He is also survived by his granddaughter Abigail who changed his name to Bogga!
Tommy is also survived by his siblings, Marylou Bogs, Mickey Barrow (Laverne), Jean Putnam (Gene), Elizabeth “Cookie” Barrow.
Mr. Barrow retired from the Army National Guard and subsequently went to work for Brown and Root from which he also retired.
After retirement from Brown and Root, Tommy spent countless hours happily volunteering for many tasks at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Houston.
Tommy’s found great pleasure in golf and cycling and was able to participate in both hobbies well into his 80’s. He had a great group of guys that he got together to golf with almost weekly.
He also participated in the innumerable annual MS150 bike rides – Houston to Austin and later Houston to College Station as well as the San Antonio MS150. Tommy could also be seen riding in many local bike rides and had the t-shirts to prove it!
At this time the family is still considering details for a gathering in Tommy’s honor.
