Thelma Felecia Black's Obituary
Thelma Felecia Black, 98, of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025 in Colorado Springs, Colorado surrounded by her family.
Thelma was born in Mobile, Alabama on May 18th, 1926 before moving to Houston when she was a teenager.
Thelma worked for University of Texas Dental Branch for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her large family, and spreading love and kindness everywhere she went.
Thelma is survived by her daughter Patricia Stewart, as well as 3 grandchildren Tracy Dennis, Cherise Torbett, and Nikki Stewart, 3 great grandchildren Nick Dennis, Kevin Dennis, and Kai Warner, 2 of her sisters Eunice Broussard and Doris Martin and numerous nieces and nephews.
Thelma is preceded in death by her daughter Renee Graham, 8 of her siblings, Isabelle Dickey, Bubba Taylor, Melvin Taylor, Madrine Box, Catherine Worley, Leonard Taylor and Shirley Couvillion, and her parents John Gordon and Bessie Mary Taylor.
