Mr Ted Pyburn's Obituary
Ted Rhea Pyburn died peacefully with his loving family at his side
on Thursday, December 10, 2009. Ted was born on September 21, 1927 in Eola, Texas to Ausburn and Katie Belle Pyburn. He is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 54 years, Frances Helen Pyburn. He is survived by his son Mark Pyburn
and his wife Judi; two grandchildren Katherine and Jonathon and their mother Sharon Pyburn; niece Barbara Wood and her husband Dewayne. Ted graduated from Mullin High School, where he was an outstanding basketball player. After serving in The United States Army, Ted began his career at Gulf Oil Corporation. His family has lived in several locations including Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Houston where they have held their residence since 1961. Ted will be remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, and a Smitch (a great friend). He worked and volunteered with the Pearland Little League for many years. He enjoyed visiting with his neighbors, watching the Houston Texans and the Texas Aggies, as well as cooking for his family on Sundays. Ted never met a person he did not like or would not help. His family will greatly miss his quick wit, great food, and his helping hand. He has joined people together in laughter and love by his daily emails. What an awesome gift he has given to all of us.
