Ms. Sylvia Margaret Lacy's Obituary
Sylvia Margaret Lacy (Aunt Tibby) 84, of Pearland, TX passed away suddenly on March 22, 2019. Sylvia was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 19, 1934 to Raymond Harold and Ida Margaret Sanders.
Sylvia is survived by her children Liz Lacy, (Corey Turrentine), Boone Lacy, (Adi Teodoru); brother, Bill Sanders; sisters-in-law Nina Sanders and Linda Sanders; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Margaret Sanders; her brothers: Harold Sanders, Waymond “Butch” Sanders, and Raymond “Little Boy” Sanders; sisters-in-law Lana Sanders and Pat Sanders; and niece Mary Paulsen.
Sylvia worked for Exxon Chemical as a Quality Control Chemist where she has several registered patents, and for Houston Dental School in the Microbiology department.
Sylvia M. Lacy was a loving and devoted sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, but her most treasured title was that of “Mom.”
She loved spending her time helping family, knitting, viewing British TV mysteries, making millions of lists and then not being able to find them. Also, being tech savvy, she enjoyed researching her ancestry and genealogy online.
Sylvia had a unique sense of humor, loved music, loved to dance, and had a zest for life that will be greatly missed.
As she would say, “That and ten cents will get you a cup of coffee.”
