Susette Landry Davenport's Obituary
Susette Landry Davenport, age 68, passed away at Broomfield Nursing Center, Broomfield, Colorado, on February 5, 2012, as a result of complications from multiple sclerosis. Born in Pasadena, Texas, to Allen and Juanita Landry, she grew up in Daisetta, Texas, and attended Hull-Daisetta High School, where she excelled in basketball and other sports through her junior year. She graduated from Conroe High School and attended Texas Christian University. She moved to Colorado in 1998 and loved living near the mountains. Susette's creative talent was at the center of much of her life and she excelled in designing and sewing custom clothes and costumes for her children, grandchildren and friends along with painting porcelain dolls. Susette's strength, intelligence and sense of humor had a positive impact on all who knew her. She was an exceptional daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Susette is survived by her children, Lesley Farwell, Brett Davenport, Steven Davenport and LaNita Anders, her brothers, Allen Wayne Landry and Calvin Landry, six grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley Landry. The family will receive visitors Friday, February 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, Texas. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17, at 12:30 p.m., in the chapel at SouthPark Funeral Home. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
