Steven Perez's Obituary
Steven Perez, 39, of Alvin, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2025.
Services will be held at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas, with burial to follow.
Steven was born on March 1, 1986, in Webster, Texas, and raised in Alvin, where he created lifelong bonds with family and friends. He was known for his big heart, his contagious laughter, and his ability to turn even the simplest moments into cherished memories.
Steven was a true family man who loved gathering around food, laughter, and love. If you gave him a few ingredients, he would turn them into a masterpiece—earning him the title of the ultimate chef. He also had a passion for cars—not only enjoying them, but also sharing his knowledge to help revamp cars, rims, and stereos.
Cheering on his favorite teams, the Houston Texans and the Houston Astros, brought him just as much joy.
His favorite saying was “have faith,” and he lived by those words every day. Even through hardship, Steven held tightly to his faith in God and believed wholeheartedly that he would be healed. His strength and trust in the Lord were an inspiration to everyone who knew him.
Steven is preceded in death by his father, Juan Perez, and his wife, Monica (Mona) Hernandez Perez.
Steven is survived by his loving mother, Elvira Perez; his fiancée, Raquel Barron; his brother, Richard Perez; his sister, Trisha Perez; his nephew, Josiah Perez; his nieces, Genesis Jaure and Frankie Gutierrez; his great-nephew, Gunner Swango; and his stepchildren, Robert, Andre, and Danae Hatley.
Steven will be remembered for his love of family, his laughter, his faith, and his gift for making something out of nothing. He deeply cherished his nieces and nephews, each one holding a special place in his heart, and he took great pride in being part of their lives. Though his life on earth ended too soon, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
