Mr. Stephen Ray Ridgley's Obituary
Stephen Ray Ridgley, 62, entered into rest Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Stephen was a vivacious personality that had a vest for life. Everyone that knew Stephen very quickly felt an instant kinship with him. From the time as a young child to the time that he passed away from us, he brought laughter and joy to those close to him. One of Stephen's great accomplishment and source of great pride was his service to America. He enlisted into the Navy when only in his late teens and served a tour in Vietnam. He was Honorably Discharged and later he re-enlisted for a second tour. He enlisted into the Army for a tour that took him to Germany. Upon his return he met his wife, Alice. Their marriage of twenty-one years was a tribute to his commitment and love for her. Survivors include wife, Alice Rios; brother, George Ridgley and his wife, Elsie; parents, Ray and Martha RIdgley; sisters-in-law, Lori Trevino and Joann Samora - Mata; nieces, Cindy Closke and her husband Matthew, Gabriela Trevino and Kristie Abbott and her husband, Greg; nephew, Christopher Ridgley and his wife Hillary and their daughter Molly. He also leaves to cherish his memory numerous other relatives and a host of friends. A Celebration of Stephen's Life will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2009 in the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Cole officiating. Private Committal.
