Stephanie Basaldua's Obituary
Stephanie Basaldua, 43, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born to Juan and Mary Elvia Basaldua on August 30th, 1982 in Houston, Texas.
Stephanie is survived by her mother Mary Elvia, sons – Alec and Mason, fiancé Chris Lunsford, brothers Michael and Mark, her sister Crystal and brother-in-law Carlos and sister-in-law Teresa. As well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Juan and maternal grandmother Eloise Ybarra; along with many extended family members.
She loved her line of work in the chemical field and was excited to grow her career at DOW Chemical; where she made many friends and acquaintances.
Outside of work, Stephanie was deeply involved in the neighborhood community – having helped organized many events from Easter egg hunts to Halloween block parties.
She will be remembered for her strong personality and keen sense of humor, the unmatched love she had for pets. She was an avid car club member; she loved muscle cars and anything that went fast. She loved Hello Kitty, the colors – pink, black and purple. She loved blankets, roses and having her nails done. She could watch anything true crime and Golden Girls on repeat. She loved crawfish and a cold shot of Tequila Rose. On any given day she was ready in jeans, a t-shirt and her favorite Chuck Taylors. She loved blasting music and spending the day with her boys at her side.
A visitation and rosary will be held on Tuesday June 30th from 5pm to 8pm, with the rosary beginning at 7pm and funeral service burial to follow on July 1st, 2026, beginning at 11am South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas.
