Mr. Stanley "Stan" Schultz's Obituary
Stanley "Stan" Schultz, a native Houstonian, passed away suddenly in his sleep Sunday, June 7, 2009 at his home in Pearland. He was born on August 9, 1935 and Baptized and Confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He graduated from Reagan High Houston School and immediately joined the U.S. National Guard. After retiring from Okite Chemical in 1980, he began his own business building boat and storage buildings in Pearland. He was a life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo serving on the BBQ and Merchandise Committees.
Stan was an avid fisherman and hunter and one of three directors of the annual "World Famous" Cula Roja Fishing Tournament in Port O'Connor for the past 37 years. Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie & Emma Schultz and his in-laws, Tommy & Estelle Thompson. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Elizabeth Ann; his sister, Charles Ann Gumina; nephew Steve and wife, Susan Gumina, and his pride and joy great nephews, Dalton and Dylan; Aunt Laura Schwake of Brenham, Texas; as well as numerous cousins and many friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, June 11, 2009, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St. in Pearland. A service will be held at the graveside of SouthPark Cemetery Friday, June 12, 2009 at 10 a.m.
