Mr. Sidney Fred Keilers' Obituary
Sidney Fred Keilers, 71, passed away at home December 4, 2008. Sidney retired from Houston Pipeline (Enron) after 38 years; charter member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church now New Life; member of Pearland Masonic Lodge #1384 and past Patron Pearland O.E.S. #1065. Sidney enjoyed tending to his cows, hunting, fishing and shrimping, Zydeco music, the grandkids and coaching girl's softball. His motto was building it strong and sturdy with a skill saw and channel locks pliers, his favorite tools. Sidney's daughter, Sandy Drozd and his mother and father Christel and Alfred Keilers precede him in death. His survivors include his wife Virginia; daughter, Pam & husband John McDonald, II; grandsons, Michael Miller and wife Melissa, J.D. McDonald, III, and Dustin Drozd; granddaughter, Sydni Ann McDonald; great grandchildren, Adrien and Alyssa Miller; sister & brother-in-law, Margie & Red Hibbeler; sister-in-law, Doris and her husband Rudy Theisen; and his constant companion, "Hey Dog" (his most precious possession). The visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at SouthPark Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2008 at SouthPark Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the graveside at SouthPark Cemetery. Special thanks to the Silverado Hospice for their special care and also many thanks to Pastor Brian K. Gigee for his friendship and pastoral care.
