Mrs. Shirley June German's Obituary
Shirley June German, age 73, passed away on May 9, 2011, following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 25, 1937 in Rogersville, Missouri, to her late parents Jack and Marie Morris. She graduated from Buffalo High, Buffalo, Missouri in 1955. Shirley was active with the La Porte Senior Center. Very active in water workout and the Senior Dance. She loved playing card games with her friends in La Porte.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas German, daughter Paula Laskowski and her husband Michael from Houston, Texas, son Rick Mitchell and his wife Lisa from Buffalo, Missouri, daughter Kelly Jewell and her partner Robert Luttrell from Pearland, Texas, daughter Laurie Vowels and her partner Jerry Johnson from Alvin, Texas. Seven Grandchildren, Jason Killion, Rachel Mitchell, Brandy Tucker, Shane Waters, Thomas Brown, Jewel Vowels, and Brittany German. Seven Great Grandchildren, Rain, DJ, Shawn, Blake, Stephanie, Hayden and Graycen. She has two sister Annabelle Stowe from Springfield, Mo. and Mary Sue Atkins from Midwest City, Ok., sister Judy Muncy of Springfield, Mo., and brother Lee Cornlison from Green Valley, Az. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and so many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers John and Jackie Morris, and her son Lee German. In lieu of cut flowers or sprays, live plants are preferred, She loved her plants and enjoyed taking care of them.
