Ms. Shirley J. Couvillion's Obituary
In loving memory of Shirley J. Couvillion 82, born on November 07, 1935, passed away peacefully at her home in Houston, Texas to be with the Lord on April 16, 2018. Shirley, a woman who loved her faith and family, will be forever remembered and missed.
Shirley was the youngest of 11 children born in Mobile, Alabama to parents John Gordon Taylor and Bessie Mary Farmer. She was preceded in death by her parents Bessie and John Taylor, three brothers Melvin, Bubba and Leonard Taylor and sisters Isabel Dickey, Ethel York and Madrine Reichert.
She is survived by her sisters Thelma Black, Catherine Worley, Eunice Broussard and Doris Martin. Also her son William Lewis, daughter Felecia Miskell and husband Joe Miskell, grandsons Andrew and William, granddaughter Brandy Burgess and husband Jason Burgess plus 5 beautiful great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM and followed by grave side service. All services will be held at South Park Funeral Home & Cemetery.
