Sheri Ann Lee's Obituary
Sheri Nelson Lee went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, June 24, 2024. Born September 18, 1959 in Pasadena, Texas, Sheri grew up in Houston and went to North Shore High School. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Michelle Young, her mother Nona Roberts White, her father, Robert Nelson, and step-father Robert Benatt. She is survived by her husband Leland Lee, children Jennifer Herrera (Thomas), Christine Halata (Thomas), and Matthew Lee (Betty), brother Scott Nelson (Linda), sister Lee Foxx (Brian), grandchildren Kaleb, Zoe, Tucker, Hailey, Parker, Reeve, Elise and Levi and several nephews.
Sheri was a 40-year resident of Pearland, Texas where she built her life with her soulmate Lee. Sheri never met a stranger, and every one who knew her loved her. All who came into her life became instant family. Sheri was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she often played piano and taught Sunday school. She was also a talented writer, even publishing a memoir. Sheri was her happiest during family trips to Ruidoso and the annual trek to Biloxi with her husband and dear friends. Her greatest source of pride and joy was being Gammy to her 8 “Grandangels” whom she adored with all her being.
Through all her pain and illness, Sheri never wavered in her faith in Jesus Christ, a faith that she passed down to her children and grandchildren. We rejoice in knowing that she is with Him and free from pain.
