Mr. Shaw P. Tindall's Obituary
Shaw Pedro Tindall was born in Cameron, Texas on October 14, 1917 to Shaw P. Tindall Sr. and Loretta Posey. He had one sister Minnie Junita Tindall. Shaw lost his father in a car accident at the age of 9. Along with his mother his Grandma Posey raised him. He is preceded in death by his wife of 74 yrs. Frances Tindall. He married the love of his life Frances Giles on May 6, 1937 in Conroe, TX. They were blessed with 4 children Gary Tindall and wife Donna, Ronald Shaw Tindall and wife Geneva, daughters Jean Killough and Nita Charleen Boyd, as well raising their niece who was a daughter to them, Mary Ann Combest. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren along the way: Ron (Tojo) Tindall Jr., Marshelle Goss, Tassea Smith and husband Mike, Troy Tindall and wife Nicole, Shanna Neel and husband Craig, Christina Seaton and husband Sean, Tina Lorance and husband Kelly, Todd Boyd, and Nichole Credille.
And 16 Great grandchildren: Ronnie Tindall , Addison Neel, Anya Smith, Shaw Smith, Zach Neel, Jared Lorance, Kaylee Wood, Graeson Smith, Scott Lorance, Jerrica Wood, Barrett Neel, Jake Seaton, Gwynie Boyd, Leah Tindal, Ty and Taswell (TJ) Tindall He and Frances started out living in a garage in South Houston where they lived when they had Gary. They built a house that still stands. From there they moved to Garden Villas in the early 1940's. He was the leader of Boy Scout Troup 16 and the Explorer Scouts, and was instrumental in building the scout house that still stands in the neighborhood park. He helped form and coach a Youth Baseball League in Garden Villas. He was a league representative for the Gulfgate Bowling Alley. He was a Lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and loved sharing this with his family He worked at Gray Tool Company and as we know one of his jobs was "Bucking chaintungs on the test track for 50 cents an hour, that was a long time ago". After leaving Gray Tool Company near the end of World War II he leased the feed store and gas station that had hand pump gas pumps. He was in the grading and landscaping business prior to the first Service station. He leased and later bought his own Service Station, including full service, rental cars, RVs and campers, as well being the service center for Avis rent a car at Hobby Airport. He retired twice in his life, the last time about 10 years ago. He was a great Daddy. In lieu of flowers please make a donations in his honor to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo at P.O.
