Mr. Serafin Basco Nepomuceno Jr.'s Obituary
At 8:02pm on Friday, May 24, 2019, the sun set on a small Texas farm, friends and family gathered around to pray the rosary. In the comfort of his home and surrounded by loved ones, Serafin B. Nepomuceno Jr. passed away at only 61 years old.
Known as Ser, Sputnik, Apin, Jun, John, and Dad was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a trusted confidante. He was a simple, stoic and sweet man with a strong work ethic and a heart of gold. “ To know him was to love him.” He was a man of routine who started each day at 5am with a cup of coffee and ended every evening with a smoke, a beer and good laugh with friends in the garage.
He was quiet yet friendly, observant but not judge mental, and prideful without being boastful. Generous to a fault, he curated a close knit community of friends wherever he went. His door was always open.
Though we are deeply saddened by his loss, let us be inspired by his life. Let us not take for granted the beauty in simple things, and let us enjoy each and every day as if it was our last.
