Mrs. Sarah R. White's Obituary
Sarah R. White, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday evening, November 13, 2007. Her only child, Don was at her side. She is now living her eternal life with Jesus in heaven. Sarah was born in Houston, Texas on November 19, 1922. She lived her entire life in the Houston/Pasadena area. Sarah devoted her life to her family. She always thought of others first and last. Sarah was a loving wife and mother. She was diagnosed with cancer shortly after the birth of her only child and was told that she would not live for more than a few months. By God's grace and healing power, she was healed and lived another 54 years after that. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church with her most recent membership at Cokesbury United Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and all those that knew her for her kind, caring ways. She never spoke an ill word against anyone and gave freely of her time and money. Sarah believed in 'Southern Hospitality' and evidenced by anyone who ever came into her home. Sarah is preceded in death by beloved husband of 52 years, Brady White. She is survived by son, Don and wife, Rosemary of Houston and grandchildren, Kristen White and Jonathan White of College Station, Texas. Special thanks to Dr. Manohar Alloju for his many years of exceptional professional and personal care of Sarah. The family is eternally grateful for Sarah's caregiver, Onoria Lucio who loving and sacrificially gave of herself to see that Sarah was cared for physically, emotionally and spiritually. This care allowed for Sarah to remain in her own home in the last days of her life. She was also surrounded by many loving and caring neighbors who gave of their time to visit her regularly and provide comfort. Serving as pallbearers are David Kirksey, Bill Lowe, Melvin Richnow and Tommy Schlitzberger. Visitation will be Friday, November 16th from 5 - 8PM at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main Street, Pearland, Texas 77581. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, November 17th at 11AM at South Park Funeral Home with Dr. Sara Owen-Gemoets officiating with interment to follow.
