They married on November 26, 1955 and raised four children, Valerie Lynne, Lori Ann, Craig Michael, and John Walter. She also cherished two grandchildren, Sierra Ariel and Kody Price Kalain. She was a favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews. Each has a special memory to recall and remember her by. Anyone who has known Sara knows she was always on the go. Sara along with her husband Walter shared a love of traveling. The Air Force and the FAA gave them opportunities to live in various areas of the United States, including Texas, Florida, Georgia, and Louisiana. They also resided in Goose Bay, Labrador, Germany, Jordan, Pakistan and Mongolia. Besides experiencing these wonderful places, they enjoyed exploring all seven continents. Sara loved dancing and gardening. She will be remembered as a very strong and optimistic person. Four years ago Sara was diagnosed with stage four Uterine Cancer. At that time, her doctor did not give her a very good prognosis. Little did he know who he was talking to! The past four years have proven to be a time to continue the travel quest including a family cruise to celebrate her 50th wedding anniversary and celebrating her 70th birthday in Paris. 0ther trips included Hawaii with her grandchildren, a trip to Anartica, Morrocco, Aruba, Greece, and the Cayman Islands. The family will receive visitors Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. November 13th and a service celebrating Sara's life will be held Friday at 11 a.m. November 14th both at SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 N.
