My favorite memories of Uncle Sam was always at Family reunions. They were never boring when he was there. Sam was always cracking jokes and kept us all laughing, not to mention he kept Us boys in trouble with Granny Becker and our own parents. He would always say they will get over it but you will remember it forever boy was he right. I remember the last time I was in Houston for work and stopped in to visit. He meet me at the door with that infectious smile and Brutal hand shake and a huge hug to forget ur broke hand. Sam was very adamant when u shook a mans hand that u stood up looked them in the eyes And commenced to crush. He Was a Great man who will be dearly missed. Our Love and Condolences goes out to my aunt Shirley and my cousins Monica and Andy.
I will miss Uncle Sam and those he-man handshakes and bear hugs. He was always one of my favorite uncles, I guess maybe because he was only ten years older than me. I will be thinking and praying for the family. Love y'all
I do have a memory when I was about 11 or 12, Uncle Sam was driving in Little Rock with me and Grandma Becker in the car when someone almost caused a wreck and Uncle Sam said a cuss word and Grandma Becker hollered " Samuel " it wasn't a real bad word and remember I just sit in the back seat snickering, it was so funny and I haven't never forgot that car ride. Knowing where Uncle Sam is and the reunion they are having gives me relief.
