Samuel “Sammy” Phillip Davis, Jr. passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 and went to be with the Lord. Sammy was born on June 1, 1940 to Samuel Phillip Davis Sr. and Dixie Ruth Casey Davis. He is survived by his loving wife Edna “Polly” Carraway Davis, sons Raymond Martin Penney, Philip Brian Davis (Lucy), stepdaughters, Janet Johnson and Dana Elizabeth DiMarco (Daniel), grandchildren, Michelle Robertson, Ryan Penney, Lauren Blair, Matthew Davis, Kaitlyn Noffsinger, Reilly DiMarco, great grandchildren, Bailey and Thaddeus, sister, Cynthia (Mike) Davis, brother, Freddy (Cheryl), sister-in-laws, June Macon and Clovis Smith, brother-in -law, Clarence Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. Samuel rode motorcycles for years, and liked photography. He was on the fire safety team at the plant that he worked for many years.
