Mrs. Sabrah I. Drilling's Obituary
Mrs. Sabrah I. Drilling passed away peacefully at her Fresno, TX home on April 3, 2017, with her devoted husband Don by her side. Sabrah was born on June 5, 1938 in Box Church, Texas. She moved to Houston with her parents and siblings at an early age. Sabrah met the love of her life, Donald Drilling, in 1951. Shortly after they married, Don was drafted into the Army and stationed in Germany, and Sabrah quickly followed. They enjoyed traveling through Europe, but were glad to return home to Houston. In 1963, they moved to Fresno, TX and made a home where they raised their three children. After the children left home, they discovered their second love - the casinos in Lake Charles, Louisiana. They danced and loved their way through 63 wonderful years of marriage.
Sabrah is survived by her loving and devoted husband Don Drilling, her brother Joe Pat Smith and his wife Charlotte, her daughter Donna Hise and her husband Robert, her son Donald D. Drilling, Jr. and his wife Beverly, her daughter Debbie Taylor and her husband Buddy. She is also survived by her grandchildren Dakota, Amanda, Hailey, Trey, Donnie III, Ryan, Jeremy, Amy, and Emily. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM, followed by a graveside service. All services will take place at SouthPark Funeral Home and Cemetery in Pearland, TX.
