Rufo O. Uribe's Obituary
Rufo O. Uribe, of Pearland, TX went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2023, at the age of 87. Rufo was born to Gabino and Guadalupe Uribe on September 5,1936 in Tlaxmalac, Guerrero Mexico. Rufo worked for over 25 years and retired from the Texas Department of Transportation. He enjoyed reading and traveling to his beloved hometown.
Rufo was preceded in death by his adored wife Esthela Uribe, and his parents Gabino and Guadalupe Uribe, and two brothers Emerejildo and David Uribe. He is survived by his daughter Esthela Guillen and husband Steven Guillen and his three grandchildren, Maddison Guillen, Matthew Guillen, Miranda Guillen and his siblings Emma Naranjo, Celia Elizalde, Juan Uribe, Alvaro Uribe, Adalberto Uribe and Noemi Casarubias.
Rufo was a kind, gracious, loving, and devoted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was also known as “Don Rufo” to many that were fond of him. He will be remembered for his mentorship, guidance, and engaging conversations. His energy and outgoing personality could light up a room that will be dearly missed. Rufo’s great legacy and hard work ethic will live on through his grandchildren and many others.
