Roy Sanchez Sr.'s Obituary
Roy Sanchez, 72, of Pearland, TX went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Mr. Sanchez was born in Voth, TX on June 8, 1941. He was a long time pillar of Pearland Community. He was employed with Krogers for many years. He retired from Wal-Mart, and went on to manage Food Town. He lived for his grandchildren and his family. One of his joy's was planting tomatoes. He enjoyed watching sports on TV and attending games, especially when his grandchildren were playing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustine and Felicitas Sanchez, sister, Carmen Wallace, Dorothy Means and brothers Joe, Jesse, Paul Sanchez. Survivors include his children: Roy Jr. and wife Esmeralda Sanchez, Sandy and David Vlasek, Michael and Isabel Sanchez, Eric Westerledge, Jonathan Pugh, Tim Vickers, and Amy Vickers. Grandchildren: Austin and Madelynn Vickers, Danny, Ashley and Elena Sanchez , Hunter Vlasek, Edgar, Jr., Mikel and Victoria Sanchez, Noah Pugh and Nicholas Vickers. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 16th at South Park Funeral Home from 4pm - 8pm. Services will be held on Friday, January 17th at 10am at South Park Funeral Home. Brother Charles Easley officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Cemetery.
