Ms. Rosy Jean Sims' Obituary
Rosy Jean (Sellers) Sims was granted her angel wings on July 17, 2013, at the age of 72. She resided and passed away in Alvin, Texas at Winchester Lodge with her Pastor Russell Fontaine at her side, singing her favorite song "What a Day It Will Be". Rosy was born on August 13, 1940 in Zavalla, Texas and was a graduate of Pearland High School. She was united in marriage to Billy Lee Sims, Sr. on June 23, 1956 in Pearland, Texas. Rosy's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile brought so much joy to her family and she gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. Rosy loved to praise and worship the Lord and would spend hours giving Thanks to Him. Some of her favorite pastimes were singing Christian songs and reading the Bible. Rosy is preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Essie Mae Sellers, brother James Allen Sellers, husband Billy Lee Sims, Sr., sons, Danny Eugene Sims and Larry Dale Sims, and grandson Larry Dale Sims, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Lula Belle Tweedle and her husband William (Bill), her brother Roy Lee Sellers and his wife Barbara Ann, and her sister-in-law Elizabeth (Betty) Sellers; children: Billy Lee Sims, Jr., Randy Jay Sims and his wife, Mary Lynn; grandchildren: Billy Lee Sims III, Karen Michelle Crease, Lori Lynn Steglich, James Roy Sims, Jaclyn Susette Simmons, Justin Heath Sims, Lonnie Dale Sims, Trish Marie Stillwell, Tabitha Ann Sims, Aaron Michael Thomas, Nathan Edward Ingalls, Dustin Storm Sims, Kimberly Anne Sims, and Samantha Kaye Sims; she is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends.
