On June 23, 2024, Rosie Duran Cantu of Fresno, TX gained her Heavenly Wings.
On August 24, 1940, Rosie was born to John and Eumecinda Duran in Sugar Land, Texas.
Rosie was a woman that demonstrated her Love for the Lord and planted the Word of the Lord in her family. Rosie loved her family and always put them first. The words that best describes Rosie are humble, beautiful, elegant, classy, respectful, and a loving woman.
As her grandchildren called her our “Fancy Grandma” and “Mom”.
Rosie is survived by her children Leonora Cantu Boesenberg, Rosalio Cantu jr. and his wife Nancy Cantu, Domingo Cantu and his wife Rachel Cantu, Manuel Cantu and his wife Shannon Cantu, Rene Cantu and his wife Lisa Cantu, Ray Cantu and his wife Angelica Cantu, Stefanie Cantu Lopez and her husband Rudy Lopez and Connie Cantu Fuentez. Rosie’s brothers are Larry Duran and his wife Bartola Duran, and Gus Duran and his wife Elizabeth Duran. Rosie has 29 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 8 great - great grandchildren and 2 grand dogs, Spike and Prince.
Rosie is preceded in death by her Loving husband Rosalio E. Cantu of 70 years. Her parents John and Eumecinda Duran, her daughter Rachel Ana Cantu, her granddaughter Emily Cantu, her son’s in-law Daniel Boesenberg and Leon Fuentez jr. Her brothers and sisters, Arturo Duran, Joe Duran, John Duran Jr., Sam Duran, Teofilo Duran, Vicent Duran, John Chavez, Pete Chavez, Martina Contreras, Angela Duran, Aurora Zapata, Hortencia Duran Vestige and many other family members.
