Mrs. Rosalinda M. Gonzales' Obituary
Rosalinda Gonzales Rosie was born on July 26, 1967 to Maria and Juan Montelongo, In a small rural community of Gibson City, IL . She departed this life on April 10, 2014 at St. Luke's Patients Medical Center, after a 26 year long battle with Lupus.
She was united in marriage to Mario Gonzales on September 18, 1993. They were happily married for 20 years and were blessed with a baby boy in 2000. She graduated from Gibson City High School in 1986. She attended Illinois State University and graduated from The University of Houston with a teaching degree in Bilingual Education. She worked as an educator for Young Elementary in Pasadena, Texas for 15 years. She enjoyed watching her son play all sports. Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Raquel (Montelongo) Brucker , her niece, Esmeralda (Mellie) Hernandez.
Rosie is survived by her husband Mario Gonzales and her son, Adam Gonzales; her brothers and sisters Rosalba (Rogelio) Hernandez, Jose Juan (Maggie) Montelongo, Maga Mancillas, Yolanda Gonzalez, Jorge (Brenda) Montelongo, Manuel (Carmen ) Santos, Martha (Tom) Greenfield, Nora Palomo, Blanca Curtis, Marco( Lety), Montelongo, Nancy (Joseph) Mechanik, Gilberto Montelango Anabel Montelongo and Laura Montelongo. Rosie's also, survived by aunts, Sra. Rosa Valdez buda de Villarreal and Srta. Rebecca (Goya) Montelongo. Rosie has an abundance of cousins, nieces and nephews, whom she loved so very much. Visitation will be held at SouthPark Funeral home, 1310 North Main St., Pearland, TX 777581 on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 5pm -8pm. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am On April 14, 2014 At the heights Baptist church, 1591 County RD. 144, Alvin, TX 77511. Burial will follow the funeral at SouthPark Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by SouthPark Funeral Home
