Mr. Rodney W. Jackson's Obituary
Rodney W. Jackson, aka, Rod, aka Jack, passed peacefully on September 29, 2014. He was born to Stan and Doris Jackson of Lebanon, New Hampshire. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda. Rod is survived by his sister Judy, 7 children, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Rodney attended Nichols College in Massachusetts and served in the US Army. Although he received a degree in business he chose a career in construction excavating as owner operator of Jackson Trucking Company. His work included everything from infrastructure in Galveston to the iconic Astrodome. His life revolved around his wife, the love of his life, his children and his home. Most days he could be found “tinkering” around the house, always outside rarely inside. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 3, 2014, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 North Main St., Pearland, TX 77581. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you might make a donation to the Society for the Protection of the New Hampshire Forests http://www.forestsociety.org/howyoucanhelp/default.asp
