Robert Lyle White's Obituary
Robert Lyle White, (70), of Pearland, TX, passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2023.
Robert was born to Albert and Beatrice White, on January 30, 1953, in Houston, Texas. After graduating high school, Robert married his sweetheart, Ruth, after falling in love with her at the church youth group. Robert and Ruth started building a life together and had two children together, David and Jennifer. They were married for 33 years, until Ruths passing away. Robert married his second wife, Brenda Farquhar. They were married for 2 years, until Brendas passing away.
Robert started working with Schlumberger at the age of 19 and retired with them 36 years later. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved fishing and tried to go fishing as much as he could. His last fishing trip was this summer, July 2023 in Virgina when visiting his grandson. It was a family fishing trip that turned out to be a successful trip catching numerous fish. We know that he is sharing this fishing story in Heaven to his loved ones! Robert also loved to just relax on the patio on summer days or in the garage on winter days and listen to his classic rock music. At times we would get him to sing some old church hymnals to us for entertainment, and we know that he is going to enjoy singing them in heaven. Roberts newest passion was following his grandson Roberts journey with the Navy.
Robert is survived by his daughter Jennifer and her husband Carlos Canales and their two children, Dominic and his wife Christina Canales and son Robert White. He is also survived by his stepdaughters, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a great grandchild that will join the family soon. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wives, son and many other loved ones.
Robert was generous and enjoyed giving and providing for others. Robert was a “Papa White” to all that he encountered. He received joy by making others laugh and by sharing his humorous stories. Papa White will always be missed, loved, remembered and may he rest in eternal peace, together with his beloved Ruth.
