Mr. Robert Earl Morehead's Obituary
Robert Earl Morehead entered into heaven on March 8, 2012. He was born on July 17, 1937 in Big Spring, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert "Pops" Morehead, mother, Thelma "Mom" Morehead and his brother Jimmy Morehead. He is survived by his wife, Sissy, and their three daughters, Kristen Townsell and her husband Paul, Cynthia Mally and husband Ken, and Brandi Morehead, grandchildren, Austin and Matthew, sister, Doris McCullough, brothers, Michael Parrish and Gilbert Reyna and a host of nieces and nephews as well as the loyal patrons of The Depot Saloon. Robert graduated from Big Spring High School in 1955 and completed his undergraduate at Baylor University. He is an alumnus of the University of Houston where he completed his graduate work and was also employed for 45 years as a psychologist. Upon his retirement in 2005, he was the person longest employed by the university. Robert and Sissy are the proud owners of The Depot Saloon where he was dearly loved by employees and patrons alike. We love and miss you Daddy and because of God's grace, we will see you again one day. A gathering will be held from 5 to 8pm on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas. Services will be held at 12:30pm on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at SouthPark Funeral with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association of Houston.
