Robert A. Halik Jr., 79, of Pearland, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024, at Memorial Hermann.
Robert, affectionately known as “Rob” to family and friends, was born on February 22, 1945, in Pearland, Texas. He lived a full life of adventure, love, and dedication. A proud veteran, Rob served honorably in the U.S. Army, where he made lifelong friendships and cherished his time serving his country. His love for life was evident in his passions for cruising and his frequent trips to Las Vegas, where he enjoyed the energy and excitement of the city. These travels brought him joy, along with many wonderful memories shared with his loved ones.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Anderson Halik, his son, Robert Scott Halik III, his sister, Mary Lee Heald, and his stepchildren, Mary Anderson, Jerrold Anderson, and Sherrie Anderson. He was a devoted grandfather to Ashlyn Anderson, who was the light of his life. Rob will be remembered not only for his adventurous spirit but also for his dedication to family and his ability to bring joy to those around him.
A visitation service will be held on September 16, 2024, from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, at South Park Funeral Home, A funeral service will be held on September 16, 2024, at 11:00 am at South Park Funeral Home. Burial to follow at South Park Cemetery to celebrate Rob’s life.
