Robert (Bobby) G. Thomas Sr.'s Obituary
Our beloved father Robert (Bobby) G. Thomas, Sr. passed away peacefully in his home on November 13, 2024 at the age of 74.
His childhood instilled a lifelong passion for fishing and hunting at which he excelled in developing different techniques and strategies to be more productive at every species he pursued. He shared his knowledge and wisdom of the outdoors with his sons. He loved telling detailed stories of his many fishing and hunting adventures and notable catches to his friends and family.
Bobby was an extremely skilled refractory bricklayer working in various chemical plants and oil and gas refineries. He last worked with Southwest Refractories before retiring from the trade earlier than expected due to health reasons.
He is survived by his sons, Robert G. Thomas, Jr. and wife Michelle; Randall L. Thomas, Sr.
Grandchildren, Robin Thomas-Cook and husband, JT; Jillian Thomas; Randall L. Thomas, Jr. and wife, Randi; Great-grandson, Hayden Cook.
He was preceded in death by his partner of 26 years, Miriam Danca, mother Sylvia Thomas-Philley, father Charles L. Thomas, Jr. and wife Betty Crittenden-Thomas.
Bobby’s request was to have his remains spread among his favorite fishing location, in a private ceremony at a later time
