Opening day at the restaurant
My dear friend Bob, You will be truly missed but never forgotten. I will miss you terribly. You have left a huge void in my life that cannot be undone. I will miss our Friday night talks and all of your advice and wisdom. Thank you for all the laughs and the memories. Rest in Piece my friend.
I will miss my talks with Bob he was a great friend. He had a great ❤️!! He always asked about how Emma was and loved sharing photos. I will remember our last talk vividly. Hope you are up there having a grand time with all your loved ones. Peace be with you my friend. I will miss you!!

I am a better person because of Bob DeVault.
I remember his passion for photography. He captured many wonderful weddings, anniversaries and self portraits. Had a great eye for nature photography as well. He was very resourceful and had a entrepreneurial mindset, owned and operated a restaurant in Austin, Texas. I learned a lot from him, more importantly I will never forget the compassion he showed my mother during her illness. Rest in peace Bob!
Where to begin...
Isnt it strange the world of hotels & hospitality brings not only colleagues but making great lifelong friends.
I didnt know you Bob as well as some of the other Micros/Oracle people did, but when we did work together it was always great and many a laugh was exchanged.
From the times of Park Inn in Harlow, to lunches in lovely Slough, to Zoom calls regarding customers all over the world...Your guidance and knowledge is something that is going to be extremely difficult to be matched.
Then to move on to you welcomeing me to your home in Houston and then telling me all about Devils Gap in NC and your love of BMW's... To the massages (which you knew I was nervous about but you put my mind at ease) and then to that truly amazing restaurant in Galveston where I honestly thought you had shares in the company!

There was still so much to discuss, but so little time, but thank you for everything where our paths had crossed and the input you gave. I will treasure these memories forever.
As I talked with Arthur when I was informed your passing, I 100% know and reminded Arthur that you wouldnt want us to be sad, and for us to hold our heads high and remember the good things and happy times.
My heart goes out to Stacey, but also very much to Lolly. I know you two will be okay.
Rest well Bob, and thank you. x
Bob as a “little tike”
You have left too soon my friend. I have a lot of great memories and I always appreciated that whenever we spoke you were the first to ask me how my family was doing before all else, it just cements the caring side of you.
Rest well my friend and say hello to Susan for me…. Until we meet again… be rested.
Phil
