Robert Lee Berdine's Obituary
Robert Lee “Bob” Berdine, 94, of Pearland, Texas, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, November 5, 2020. He was born to parents, Molly Katherine (Heberline) Berdine and Thomas Lance Berdine Sr. on May 30, 1926, in College Station, Texas.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 65 years, Ella Ruth (Williamson) Berdine, daughter Ann and husband Phil Medlin of College Station, Texas, daughter Michele and husband Dave Reynolds of Houston, Texas, and son Greg and wife Kathryn Berdine of Pearland, Texas. He was blessed with five grandchildren Scott Medlin, Shawn Medlin, Christi Morrison, Ashley Wilson and Andrew Scoppa as well as nine great grandchildren, Matthew Medlin, Michael Medlin, Cannon Medlin, Kendall Medlin, Kate Medlin, London Wilson, Lincoln Wilson, Asher Morrison and Hudson Morrison and many other family members and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Thomas Lance “Tommy” Berdine Jr. and Theodore “Ted” Berdine; sister Peggy Berdine Vitopil; and granddaughter Alison Jane Scoppa.
Bob served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as an aircraft mechanic before settling in Houston to raise his family and was employed by Tenneco for 40-plus years. He enjoyed fishing, dominos, horseshoes, and square dancing. He was active in the Epiphany Lutheran Church of Pearland where he marked bibles for the prison ministry, served as an usher, and distributed “Meals on Wheels” in the community.
