Richard Allen Spencer “Rick” was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness and dedication touched everyone who knew him.
Rick spent more than 40 years working at Kelley’s Country Cookin’. He began his career as a cook and, through years of hard work and commitment, became a manager. He truly loved the people he worked with and considered many of them family. Richard took pride in his work and would not have wanted it any other way.
Outside of work, Rick found joy in fishing with his son on his boat, working in his garden, BBQing and hanging out by the pool making memories with his grandson Jr that will be cherished forever. He was known for his caring heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family.
Rick is survived by his sons: Richard David Spencer and daughter in law Shelby, Charles
Franklin Christiansen II and Robert Daniel Christiansen; Grandchildren: Richard David
Spencer Jr “Junior”, Juliana, Ally, William, Emma, Aiden; Ex-Wife: Corrie McBride; Siblings:
sister Connie Balderas and husband Jerry Balderas, brother David Wayne Spencer, sister. Cynthia Jacoby and brother Donald Spencer “Dinky”; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father William David Spencer, mother JoAnn Marlar and
stepfather Kermit, brother Randy Spencer, sister Barbra Spencer, niece Kerry Ann Spencer and granddaughter
Kiera Ann Spencer
Rick’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
