Richard J. Meyer, 80, of Galena Park, TX. passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011, He was born on May 11, 1931 in Aberdeen, SD. He retired from Oxid Chemical. He is survived by his loving wife, Irene Meyer; children, Jeff and wife Sandy, Robert and wife Terri, Billy and wife Geri, David and wife Michelle, Debbie and husband Carl; step-son, Larry and step-daughter, Nancy and her husband Jerry; 13 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning, October 19, 2011 from 8:30AM until service time at 10:00AM in the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 N. Main St., Pearland, TX. 77581. The interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
