Mr. Richard Enriquez's Obituary
Richard Enriquez “Chico”, a longtime proud resident of Pearland, Texas, entered eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on February 6, 2016. Richard was preceded in death by his parents Eristeo and Mary Enriquez, his brothers: Eddie F. Enriquez Sr., Henry G. Enriquez and Eristeo Enriquez, and his sister Lydia Reyes. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Oralia S. Enriquez, his daughters: Carolyn Thompson, husband Scott, Renee Enriquez-Munoz, husband Elias, and his son Richard Enriquez Jr,. wife Destiny, and six grandchildren: Brittany Rae Best, Joseph Lee Saenz, Elias Munoz III, Andrew Henry Munoz, Fiona Rae Enriquez, and Penelope Rain Enriquez. Also, his two brothers Frank Enriquez, wife Mary, of Alabama, and Robert Enriquez Sr., wife Lupe, of Pasadena Texas.
Richard, a diligent man, remarkable husband, enthusiastic father and devoted Grandfather “PO”, was adored by everyone who met him. After 40 years of working as a Chemical Plant operator he retired in 2013. This dedicated father worked hard to ensure that his family would never go without. He spent his entire life in Pearland enjoying his favorite hobbies such as playing golf, spending time with his family and lifelong friends, and cheering on his favorite football teams: The Houston Texans, Texas A & M Aggies, and the Pearland Oilers. He had the keen knack for telling hilarious stories that no one ever tired of hearing over and over again. Spending time with Richard meant you were definitely going to have a good time and laugh until you cried.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 9 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 and the funeral service celebrating Richard’s life will begin at 10 am on Wednesday at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, TX.
