Richard W. Diese's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Wayne Diese, 80, of Pearland, Texas, who left us on Friday, March 21, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Rick faced these challenges with remarkable strength and grace, inspiring all who knew them.
Rick was born in Houston, Texas on November 29, 1944. He graduated from Galena Park High School, in Galena Park, Texas and then continued his education at Rice University. In June of 1965, Rick enlisted in United States Air Force and was deployed to Vietnam, where he proudly served his country for six years before receiving an honorable discharge in 1971 along with a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star Medal. Rick was proudly married to Lisa Kim Peck on March 30, 1979. They were together for over 45 years.
Rick was a real estate agent and broker for 25 years. He enjoyed many hobbies and activities including fishing, playing and watching golf, cheering on his beloved Astros and Texans, and working in his garden with Lisa.
Rick is survived by his wife Lisa, mother-in-law Cecilia, daughters Stephanie and Jessica, son-in-law Eric, sister Donna, brothers Mike and Jerry, grandchildren Zach, Grayson, Emerson, and Everleigh, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that were loved like family.
