Rhonda Pagitt's Obituary
Rhonda Pagitt, 67, was born in Athens, TX to Elzada and James Pagitt. She went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2021.
Rhonda was raised in Athens, TX with a loving family. She graduated as valedictorian of Athens High School in 1972 and was involved in many extracurricular activities. Rhonda was immensely proud to have participated in student council all throughout her school career.
She loved being a Texan and would often tell others she lived where Texas began.
A devout Christian, Rhonda was an avid reader of many spiritual novels and liked to give many to her friends and family. She believed in kindness and enjoyed conversing with all. A firm believer in positive affirmations, Rhonda would often be heard saying, “this too shall pass” to give hope and faith to her loved ones.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Elzada and James Pagitt and grandparents Edward and Minnie Clark and Willie and Ruby Pagitt. She will be dearly missed by her children Elizabeth, Christina, and Matthew; father of her children, Marlin and his sister Karen and husband Mike; her brother Steve and wife Cindy and her brother Jerry and wife Tamara; sister Donna; and close family friends Colleen and Austin; along with many extended family members and family.
A private gravesite ceremony will be held for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would feel grateful if individuals would do something kind in memory of Rhonda.
