Mr. Raymond W. Slomer's Obituary
Raymond W. Slomer, 83, of Pearland, Texas passed away Friday October 2, 2015. Mr. Slomer was born on April 9, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri to Edward and Lydia Slomer. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, retired from Conoco Philip after 35 years, he was a fourth degree black belt in the martial art of Chayon-Ryu, traveled to every continent in the world and was a member of the Rag Time Band. Mr. Slomer was a man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years Helen H. Wainwright, daughters; Sally Ann Slomer and husband Kenton Reece Fickes Jr., Sherrilyn Hart Wainwright and Deborah Margaret Wainwright and husband Donald Krause, grandchildren; Sarah Jane Fickes, Kenton Reece Fickes III, Christopher Hart Wainwright, Jeffrey David Krause and Jodie Janelle Salo. The family will receive friends Monday, October 5, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Southpark Funeral Home 1310 North Main St. Pearland, TX 77581. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial in Southpark Cemetery.
