Randi R. Ivy, age 76, of Alvin, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 12, 2025. She was born on May 3, 1948, in Houston, Texas, to Dreba Mathews and Lewis "Bo" W. Richardson.
Randi dedicated 28 years of service as an Administrative Assistant for the Alvin Independent School District before retiring in 2006. She came to know her Lord and Savior as a teenager and is now walking with Jesus Christ.
Randi was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family deeply. She found great joy in traveling with her loved ones and friends, creating cherished memories on trips to Alaska, Canada, the western National Parks, Disney World with her grandchildren, as well as journeys to Europe and the Holy Lands. Her warmth and love will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Dreba Mathews VerDouw; father, Lewis "Bo" W. Richardson; stepfather, Harry L. VerDouw; and grandparents, James and Alma Mathews.
Randi is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Michael Ivy; twin daughters, Lana Jordan (husband Donald Jordan) and Lara Horn (husband Joey Horn); and her treasured grandchildren: Nathan Jordan, Amber Jordan, Marcus Horn, Megan Horn, and Morgan Horn. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
