Mr. Randall Edward Rohden's Obituary
Randall E. Rohden, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather left this world on Friday, February 16, 2007 at Houston Hospice. Randy fought a valiant five-year battle with cancer. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolf and Kate Rohden, twin brother, Raymond and sister Nadine Evans. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elinor Frances Briggs Rohden; daughters, Sandy Byrnes-Viveiros and husband Bob, Judy Shackouls and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Damon Hall, Andy, Todd and Scott Shackouls; great grandchildren, Anthony and Justin Hall; brother, Delano Rohden and wife Mary and numerous cousins. Randy lived in Pearland for 50 years and worked for Channel 39 for 35 years as a transmitter engineer. He was an amateur radio (ham) operator since 1950 ' W5WOE and an avid model airplane builder and flyer. Special thanks to all of Randy's doctors including Dr. Brian Powers and Dr. Amy Mynderse as well as the medical and administrative staff at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital. We cannot thank you enough for all of your support. Although Randy was at Houston Hospice for a few short hours, we appreciate your assistance in making Randy's last hours as peaceful as possible.
