Randall Carroll Prewitt's Obituary
Randall “Pawpaw” Prewitt, of Pasadena, TX, passed away peacefully on May 11th in Houston, TX at
the age of 83.
Randall is survived by his wife, Patricia Prewitt of Pasadena, TX; his son Aaron Prewitt and wife
Shelly Prewitt of Cleveland, TX; his daughter Adrene Henninger and husband Aaron Henninger of
Leander, TX; daughter-in-law Shannon Prewitt of Atascocita, TX; his sister Sue Gaskin of Pasadena,
TX and sister-in-law Delaine Prewitt of Leesville, LA. Randall also survived by his five
grandchildren, Brandon Henninger and fiance’ Patty Ngo of Dallas, TX; Emily Henninger of Los
Angeles, CA; Trynity Prewitt, Benjamin Prewitt and Zuriel Prewitt of Atascocita, TX. He is preceded
in death by his brother, Malcom Prewitt of Leesville, LA and brother-in-law Milton Gaskin of
Pasadena, TX. Randall also had numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family who loved
him dearly.
Randall was born on March 12, 1941 in Leesville, LA to Carroll and Adriane Prewitt. He graduated
from Anacoco High School in 1959. He joined the US Army in 1960 as an Infantryman in the 562nd
Artillery in Stonewall, LA, where he served three years and was Honorably discharged. He married
Patricia, the love of his life, on December 31, 1965. After moving to Baton Rouge, LA, Randall began
working for Gulf as a Terminal Manager.
His children remember him as a kind, patient and loving father who taught them the value of
hardwork and being kind to others.
Randall was a fan of the Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, LSU football and NASCAR. Randall loved
Southern Gospel music and often made it out to see a concert. He loved working in his small
garden growing fresh vegetables. For the last 13+ years, Randall worked for O'Reilly Auto Parts
where he earned Counterperson of the Year in 2022. He exclusively drank Community Coffee and
would regularly visit his sister, Sue, for a cup and a chat.. Randall was an avid fan of Homemade
Vanilla Blue Bell Ice Cream and was always happy to share a scoop. He enjoyed spending time with
his family, telling stories and making them laugh. He often would visit back home to Leesville, LA
where he would come back with bushels of purple-hull peas. Because of his Louisiana roots, he
loved seafood, especially fried catfish, where he was a regular at Sudies in Pasadena, TX.
Randall was a true gem of a human being that was loved by many. He will truly be missed.
