Mr. R. B. Sanford's Obituary
R. B. Sanford, 81, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in Pearland, Texas. He was born August 10, 1933 in Malta, Texas to Raymond R. and Loraine Sowell Sanford. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Ann Lancon Sanford and his second wife, Ernestine Furlow Sanford. R. B. is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Debra Sanford; daughter, Suzanne Holt; grandsons, David Holt and Chance Sanford; great grandchildren, Alex Holt, Claire Holt and Evan Holt; sister, Bobbie Martin; step-daughter, Mary Buck and husband Garry, step-granddaughter, Lindsey Mathison and husband Kevin, step-grandson, Jonathon Buck, step-great grandchildren, Kenzie and Brayden Mathison. R. B. served his country in the Korean War and he was a member of the US Army 3rd Infantry Division from 1950-1953. R. B. served as a Houston Policeman in the Solo Motorcycle Division before his retirement. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 5-8 pm at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 12:30 pm in the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
