Placido C. Garcia born to Mauro and Lucia Garcia on October 5, 1935 in Pledger, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Esperanza Garcia; children: Miguel Garcia, David Garcia and wife Ana, Matilda Martinez and husband Rene, Gloria Ayala and husband Greg Vargas; brother: Miguel Garcia and Joe Garcia; sister: Mercedes Iniguez; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Placido loved spending time with his grandchildren creating a special bond with Gabriela (Bella) Garcia, Marissa (Smalls) Vargas, Savanah Hernandez and Jayme Lynn Garcia. in his younger years he enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. at the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 12:30 pm at the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home followed by interment at SouthPark Cemetery.
