Philip Leonard Davison Jr.'s Obituary
Philip Leonard Davison, Jr. passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside on January 9, 2017 at 1222 a.m. at the age of 56. Phil was born on January 19, 1960 in Houston, Texas to his parents Philip Leonard Davison, Sr. and Ellen Theresa Burns Davison.
Phil went to Friendswood High School and then worked as a crane operator on the Houston/Galveston ship channels for about 6 years. In 1984, at the age of 24, he had a motorcycle accident which resulted in a life with disabilities that he would eventually succumb to 32 years later. For about the last 3 years of his life, he shared a room in the nursing home with his Mother. When she passed on November 29, 2016, he stated he wanted to go “Home” to be with her and so he did just that, 41 days later.
He is survived, and will be greatly missed, by his Father/Stepmother, Phil and Billie Davison; his siblings Doris (and husband, Bubba) Knippa, Mary Ellen Falcone, Tina (and husband, Ronnie) Lockridge, Chuck Davison and Carol Davison; his nieces and nephews: Chad (and wife, Tiffany), Kayla, Megan (and fiancé, Ryan), Angela (and husband, Blake), Alyssa (and husband, Garrett), Ryan (and wife, Kelley), Shane, Nina, Jon (and wife, Peney), Aaron, Andrew and Corey; his great nieces and nephews: Clare, Caden, Baelyn, Lance, Viktor and Rose; and many other relatives and friends.
Phil was preceded in death by his niece, Joye.
We want to send a special thank you to the staff on Station 2 at Friendswood Health Care Center and Heart to Heart Hospice who compassionately cared for Phil and Mom these past 3 years and in their final days.
